What is Mock Trial? Who will you get to know on the team? All the answers are here.
Mock trial is a competitive team activity wherein students assume the roles of both attorneys and witnesses. At the start of the season, the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) provides collegiate programs across the country with a fictional legal case. Teams read through the case and form legal arguments based on the facts given, available evidence, and witness affidavits. Students then take the case to trial at competitions against other schools, presenting their arguments and applying their knowledge before a judge.
